Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

No increase in palmitoyl-CoA-oxidase activity was seen. It was concluded that HFC-143a is not a peroxisome inducer in vitro in rat hepatocytes in primary cultures treated for 4 days.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
No increase in palmitoyl-CoA-oxidase activity was seen. It was concluded that HFC-143a is not a peroxisome inducer in vitro in rat hepatocytes in primary cultures treated for 4 days at exposure levels up to 80% in the atmosphere above the cells.
Executive summary:

It was concluded that HFC-143a is not a peroxisome inducer in vitro in rat hepatocytes in primary cultures treated for 4 days at exposure levels up to 80% in the atmosphere above the cells when tested by measuring palmitoyl-CoA-oxidase activity.
