300°C to 800°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The boiling point for paraffin and hydrocarbon waxes ranges from 300°C to 800°C. A boiling point range of 341 to 665°C was reported by CONCAWE (2010a). The boiling point was determined according to the EN ISO 15199 and ASTM D 1160 methods. An additional boiling point range of 300 to 800°C for paraffin and hydrocarbon waxes has also been reported (CONCAWE, 1997 and European Wax Federation, 1990).
