Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Immediately bring to frish air. Consult a doctor.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes;

consult a doctor.

Emergency measure - Skin: Immediately remove contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated

areas with plenty of soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: If symptoms occur, consult a doctor immediately. Treat

symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Dry powder, earth, sand, CO2, foam, water mist

Product arising from burning: H2O, CO2; in a low temperature fire, also CO and soot

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear protective clothing and self-contained breathing

apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Avoid breathing dust, if necessary wear breathing

protection. Avoid contact with eyes. When handling, wear

protective clothing, protective gloves and goggles. Before

collecting absorb onto sand or earth and immediatly sweep up

or, preferable, use an approved industrial vacuum cleaner.

Keep spilled material in a tightly closed container in a

safe place until disposal. Lable the container according to

the regulations. Avoid contamination of the floor. Do not

wash away with water. Ask appropriate authorities for

disposal.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid dusting during handling, charging, dicharging. Do not

recirculate exhausted air into the ambient air at the

workplace. Exhaust system should be operative (maximum

exhaust rate 0.8 m/sec.). Use closed systems, closed

charging, transferrring and batching equipment. Avoid

breathing dust: wear dust mask. Avoid skin contact: wear

protective clothing, including rubber or polyethylene apron.

Protect hands with rubber or polyethylene gauntlets. Wear

eye protection and chemical-resistent boots. Store work

clothes and personal protective equipment separately from

outdoor clothing. Molten material can react exothermically

with amines, Lewis acids, mercaptanes, phenols, organic

acids and acid unhydrides. In the solid stage, violent

reactions with strong acids and strong oxidizing agents are

possible.

Storage: Store only in undamaged, unbreakable and tightly closed

original containers. Avoid leaving residues on containers.

Lable correctly. Store only in cool and dry rooms with

ventilation or extraction. Keep away from naked flames and

high temperatures. Take precautions against static electric

charges. Store away food and food stuffs. Keep out of reach

of children.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: In the stage (solid) in which the substance is placed on the

market it is neither flammable nor explosive. Only finely

ground particles as a dust cloud can ignite and lead to a

dust explosion.

Chemical reaction with water: No chemical reaction with water.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: No possibilities

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Neutralisation by special techniques (Mixing with a

hardener)

(634)

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: After a reaction with a hardener, the substance is very

stable and may therefore be disposed of as waste in a

controlled manner.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: In a modern waste incineration plant. During process

additional energy is obtained. The substance contains no

halogens.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: not applicable

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable because substance is a component for the

production of resins, it will not reach public at large.
