Additional information

Barium dichloride does not contain a surplus of oxygen or any structural groups known to be correlated with a tendency to react exothermally with combustible material (cf. Annex VII section 7.13 Column 2 of regulation 1907/2006).

Justification for classification or non-classification

Barium dichloride does not need to be classified for oxidising properties according to Directive 67/548 EEC and CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 as these are considered to be non-relevant based on the lack of functional groups.
