Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VII, section 7.11, the determination of explosiveness does not need to be conducted as there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in lithium carbonate (refer to Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7a).

Justification for classification or non-classification

As there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties in the molecule, the explosiveness study does not need to be conducted. Taking into account the provisions laid down in Council Directive 67/548/EEC and Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), the test substance does not have to be classified with respect to explosiveness.
