Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Two studies according to OECD guideline 202 are available, both conducted under static conditions for an exposure period of 48 h..

In one study, 5 concentrations were tested in the range of 6.25 to 100 mg/l, prepared with dilution water in a geometric series with a factor of 2. Twenty daphnids were exposed to each concentration level and the control.

Concentrations of test item were analytically verified by HPLC-DAD at the start of the exposure (0 h) and at the end of the exposure (48 h) of all concentration levels and the control.
C
oncentrations of test item were successfully maintained for the duration of the test, thus endpoints were assessed based on nominal concentrations of test item.

The validity criteria of the test guideline were fulfilled.

Effect levels after 48 h:

EC10 = 16.4 mg/l (95 % conf. limit 13.2 - 19)

EC50 = 30.2 mg/l (95 % conf. limit 27.1 - 33.7)

EC100 = 100 mg/l (not applicable)

NOEC = 12.5 mg/l (not applicable)

LOEC = 25 mg/l (not applicable)

In the second study, nominal concentrations tested were 10 / 18 / 32 / 58 / 100 and 180 mg/I, and a control without any additions. In all test concentrations, no alteration of the test substance was observed after 48 hours.

During the test, measured concentrations were in the range of 100 - 109 % of the nominal values. Therefore, under test conditions, the test article was sufficiently stable.

The reported results are related to the average analytical concentrations of the test article measured at the beginning and at the end of the test.

No immobilization and abnormal behaviour of daphnids was observed in the control.

Effect levels at 48 :

NOEC and EC0 = 10 mg/l

EC100 = 192 mg/l

EC50 = 79 mg/l.
