Additional information

The forms in which DBTL or its possible hydrolysis products were present in solution were qualitatively analyzed with LC-MS/MS and LC-MS full scan. The LC-MS/MS results showed that the largest changes took place between the 0 hour (38 minutes due to sample handling and centrifugation) and 1 hour (98 minutes) incubation. The presence of DBT mono-laurate in all samples (also in the 0 hour sample), indicated that a relatively fast hydrolysis of the DBTL may have taken place, but it was not possible to calculate a percentage of hydrolysis.
