Description of key information

Dodecanedioic acid boils at 250 °C under a pressure of 13.33 hPa. Upon further increase in temperature decomposition starts. Therefore the boiling point at 1013.25 hPa cannot be determined.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The boiling point of dodecanedioic acid at atmospheric pressure cannot be determined because of decomposition starting at approx. 250 °C. Values at reduced pressure reported here are:

205 ºC at 1 hPa (Evonik Degussa 2009)

222 ºC at 33.3 hPa (Lide 2007)

250 ºC at 13.33 hPa (OECD 1996).
