Derivation of DNEL - workers
Inhalation route is the most relevant route of human exposure since titanium tetraisopropanolate decomposes rapidly during the use releasing isopropyl alcohol (IPA). IPA is a volatile substance since the vapor pressure is measured to be 60.2 hPa at 25 °C. The occupational exposure limit (OEL) for isopropanol has been determined by several European countries varying between 350 mg/m3 - 980 mg/m3. The DNEL (inhalation) for IPA is set equal to the OEL derived by the German MAK commission.
