Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A key study was performed in accordance with OECD TG 201 in accordance with GLP to assess the effect of the test item on the growth of green algae. The test item was known to rapidly hydrolyse in aqueous test media forming IPA and hydrated titanium oxide (precipitated form). Therefore, it was considered appropriate to also calculate the results based on 0-Hour measured IPA concentrations. The results were also calculated based on equivalent test item concentrations. Under the conditions of the study, no abnormalities were detected in any of the control or test cultures. The results calculated based on measured IPA concentrations were used as a key value since these results gave the lowest toxicity value to algae growth.

Results of this study do not lead to the classification of the substance as toxic to aquatic organisms in accordance with the criteria set out in Directive 67/548/EC and Regulation (EC) 1272/2008. This toxicity study is classified as reliable with restrictions and satisfies the guideline requirements for the toxicity study.
