Additional information

The acute toxicity test performed for this substance identifies that toxicity of this substance are related to the degradation products due to the rapid hydrolysis which takes place immediately after test substance is introduced to water solution. Due to the rapid hydrolysis in aqueous test media, the degradation products (IPA and hydrated titanium dioxides) toxicity to the freshwater invertebrates was investigated based on the measured IPA concentrations and the equivalent test item

concentrations. The lowest value was used as a key value in CSA.

Results of this key study do not lead to the classification of the substance as toxic to aquatic organisms in accordance with the criteria set out in Directive 67/548/EC and Regulation (EC) 1272/2008. This toxicity study is classified as reliable without restrictions and satisfies the guideline requirements for the acute invertebrate toxicity study.
