The test substance was assessed for its the potential explosive properties by means of Quantitative Structure Activity Relationships (QSAR) for structural indicators of oxidisation potential and calculation of Oxygen Balance (OB). Based on the information and review of the above substance has identified one possible structural alert in the form of epoxide groups, but the oxygen balance is -238.6, thus below -200.
Epoxidized Soybean Oil Acrylate is, therefore, deemed not to be potentially explosive, based on the overall chemical structure and oxygen balance values.
Justification for classification or non-classification
The test substance has no explosive properties. Therefore, there is no need to classify the substance, according to the Regulation EC 1272/2008 and the Directive 67/584/EEC.
