Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The Kow and Koc concept is not applicable for inorganic compounds. The data on the adsorption /desorption for manganese has been taken from the publically available literature and is considered to be limited. The most relevant value for use in risk assessment is Kd= ca. 1200 ml/g. This is the lowest available value and therefore is considered to be indicative of metal that is known to partition to organic matter (soils/sediments) as opposed to remaining in the water column and as manganese hydrogen phosphate and manganese bis(dihydrogen phosphate) are both soluble they can be considered to be ‘readily transformed’ in the environment.

Further the risk to the environment from manganese bis(dihydrogen phosphate) is minimal as releases to the environment are tightly regulated. No further studies are proposed at this time.
