Description of key information

A study for the endpoint 'bioaccumulation' has not been performed for manganese bis(dihydrogen phosphate). An adaptation from the standard testing regime is justified on the following basis:
In accordance with Section 1 of Annex XI of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) (testing does not appear scientifically necessary), the bioaccumulation study (required in Annex IX, Section 9.3.2.) does not apply to the hazard assessment of inorganic metals or metal compounds. The available data is adequate for classification and labelling purposes and PBT assessment is not required for inorganic substances so no further testing is required.

Additional information

Value relates to the report BCF for fish. In reality the BCF is not considered to be relevant as metal-containing compounds are subject to homeostatic mechanisms.
