Description of key information

No study has been performed on manganese bis(dihydrogen phosphate) for the endpoint 'autoflammability'. An adaptation from the standard testing regime is justified on the following basis:
According to the guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7a Section 7.1.12, the self-ignition test should be carried out using the standard test for relative self-ignition temperature in Annex V of 67/548/EEC which is performed by continuous heating of the substance until either the substance ignites or the limit value (400°C) is reached. A melting point study has been conducted up to a limit of 450°C, no propensity for self-ignition was seen up to this temperature and therefore testing for this endpoint is considered to be scientifically unjustified.
