The purpose of this study was the determination of the particle size distribution of the test item by laser diffraction according to the European Comission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 and under consideration of the following guidelines:

ISO 13320-1: Particle Size Analysis – Laser Diffraction Methods.

Description of key information

Diarsenic trioxide is a crystalline powder. The particle size distribution of a typical commercial sample has been determined experimentally (laser diffraction method, OECD 110, GLP). The material is characterised by a median particle diameter D50 = ca. 38 µm (D10 = ca. 2 µm, D90 = ca. 153 µm).
