Additional information

Based on column 2 of REACH Annex IX, a study on toxicity on terrestrial organisms does not need to be conducted if direct or indirect exposure of soil to the test item is not being anticipated. In the absence of toxicity data for soil organisms, the equilibrium partitioning method may be applied to assess the hazard to soil organisms. The choice of the appropriate tests depends on the outcome of the chemical safety assessment. According to the outcome of the chemical safety assessment, which is based on the EM method by applying aquatic toxicity data, the PEC/PNEC ratio for the soil compartment is smaller than 1, so that no risk for terrestrial organisms at any substance life cycle stage from the stage of formulation up to the stage of its intended use is likely. Therefore, no tests on terrestrial plants and organisms are provided.
