Description of key information

UN Transport N1 cannot be waived in all cases. Flammability hazard could not be excluded in all cases based on expert judgement (characterization of the UVCB, IUCLID 4.23 & other physico chemical information) and experience in handling and use. Key study on representative worst case demonstrated that the substance is not readily combustible solid under Division 4.1 (UN N1)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

UN N1 test performed on representative worst case flue dust demonstrated that the solid is not readily combustible under Division 4.1. Additional expert judgement based on chemistry and mineralogy of the flue dusts, as well as experience in handling and use confirm this result for all flue dusts (as defined under Section 1.2)
