Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice: Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
After inhalation: Immediately supply fresh air. Consult a physician, if necessary.
After contact with skin: Immediately wash with plenty of water. Consult a physician if skin irritation persists.
After contact with eyes: Rinse thorougly with plenty of water, also the opened eye for several minutes under running water.
Then consult a specialist.
After ingestion: Rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Whether or not vomiting should be induced, should be decided by a physician. Seek immediate medical advice.
Notes to physician: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing agents: Carbon dioxide, extinguishing powder or water spray.
Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
Special hazards caused by the material, its combustion products or resulting gases: In case of fire or heating the following can be released:
Carbon oxides; hydrocarbons; nitrogen oxides (NOx); ammonium gas; hydrogen cyanide (hydrocyanic acid), ethylimine.
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respirator. Wear fully protective impervious suit.
Additional information: Collect separately contaminated extinguishing water. It must not enter the sewage system.
Dispose of fire debris and contaminated extinguishing water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
Person-related saftey precautions: Wear equipment protective against fumes/dust/aerosol including protective clothing and suitable respirator.
Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid dust formation. Keep unprotected and unnecessary people away,
isolate hazard area and deny entry.
Measures for environmental protections: Must not be released into sewage system, drains, water course, ground water or soil.
Measures for cleaning/collection: Avoid dust formation. Pick up mechanically, if necessary with a tested and approved industrial vacuum
cleaner. Collect in suitable container for recycling or disposal.
Additional information: Keep ignition sources away. Do not smoke.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling: Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Avoid dust formation.
Remove unavoidable dust deposits at regular intervals.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Dust may form explosive mixture with air. Keep material and empty container away from fire, heat,
direct sunlight and ignition sources. Do not smoke. Protect against electrostatic charges.
Requirements for store rooms and containers: Store in tightly sealed, original containers, in cool, dry and well ventilated place.
Advice on storage in one common storage facility: Store away from, alkalis (caustic solutions), oxidising, acidic or self-igniting materials.
Further information on storage conditions: Store and handle in accordance with all current regulations and standards.
Storage class VCI (Germany) = 11 Flammable solids
