Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No experimental data about the property for phototransformation in air are available. Although this is no mandatory requirement under REACH a scientifically accepted calculation method (EPIWIN computer tool AOPWINv1.92) was used to predict the overall OH rate constant (gas-phase reaction constant; which was determined to be 65.5296 E-12 cm³/molecules-sec) and the half-life (0.163 days; thus around 2 hours) for dimethylamine (Chemservice S.A., 2010). The substance is not supposed to react neither with ozone nor nitrate radicals.
