Additional information

Properties for phototransformation in air of dimethylamine are not experimentally determined. Although, this endpoint is not mandatory under REACH, a prediction by the US-EPA tool EPIWIN (AOPWINv1.92) was performed (Chemservice S.A., 2010). The overall rate constant was determined to be 65.5296 E-12 cm³/molecules*sec and the half-life in air of the substance will be around 2 hours. No further testing for phototransformation of dimethylamine, neither in water nor soil has to be conducted under REACH requirements.

Dimethylamine possess no functional groups that are able to hydrolyze under environmental conditions. Therefore this endpoint can be waived.
