Additional information

The vapour pressure of the whole substance was determined by calculation. The mole fraction of each constituent of Tall Oil Heads was multiplied by its vapour pressure. The result obtained was summed together to obtained the predicted total vapour pressure of the substance.

TOH is a UVCB substance and predicted vapour pressure for the whole substance is preferred for human health assessment purpose while the vapour pressure of individual constituents is used for environmental risk characterisation. A calculated vapour pressure of 0.137 Pa was obtained for the whole substance.

Individual samples could have higher vapour pressure if any unexpected impurities are present.
