Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results

The dry sieving test of FeHBED was performed as following: about 100 g of the tested material was material was weighted to the nearest 0,01 g and transferred quantitatively to a tarred clean, dry of 1 mm aperture sieve. It was the upper sieve of a set of 2 mm, 1,5 mm, 1,0 mm, 0,3 mm, 0,1 mm sieves. The sieving was carried out using apparatus at an amplitude of250 revolutions per minute during 10 minutes.After the completion of the sieving process the sieves were checked for the proper fractions.

Calculation:       The percentage of material captured at each sieve was calculated using the following equation:

xn= mn/mtx 100

where:

xn– percentage of solid remaining at a sieve,

mn– weight of the fraction (in grams),

mt– total weight of tested sample used (in grams, mt= m0+ m1+…mj)

Description of key information

The particle size distribution of the test substance was determined in a non-GLP study (2012) according to method PN-EN 1235:1999/A1:2004 by using the dry sieve test.
Results:
<0.1 mm: 0%
<0.3 mm: 5%
<1 mm: 50%
<1.5 mm: 70%
<2 mm: 85%
