Description of key information

According to the OECD Guideline 117 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), HPLC Method) the log Pow of '1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline, oligomers' was deterimned to be in the range of 1.2 to 7.7 at pH 6.3 and 25°C with an average of 5.8 was determined (Currenta, 2010).

The test item 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline, oligomers is a complex reaction mass with partially undefined composition (UVCB). The chromatogram of the test item showed 45 resolved peaks corresponding to 45 fractions (main and minor components). The fractions with log Pow lower than 5 accounted for 18% of the total area with an average log Pow of 3.9. The rest had an average log Pow of 6.2.
