Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The endothermic peaks in the curve are at the temperature ranges 643 – 774 °C, 905 – 924°C and 1029 – 1073 °C. The mass of the sample starts to decrease slowly at the temperature range ~200 °C and decreasing becomes faster at ~800 °C. This indicates evaporation or decomposition of some components. The peak at the temperature range 1029 – 1073 °C indicates melting.

09TT02773

The endothermic peaks in the curve are at the temperature ranges 652 – 830 °C and 1036 – 1150 °C. Because the mass of sample starts to decrease later than the first peak is, this indicate, that some components melt already at the temperature 652 – 830 °C.  Evaporation and decomposition starts above 750 °C.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Based on the TG/DSC measurements, the melting of the black copper samples 09TT02771 and 09TT02773 start at 643 °C and 652 °C.
