Description of key information

A chronic daphnid test according to the OECD Guideline 211 conducted at the Ministry of Environment in Japan (1997) provides a 21-day EC50 of 66 mg/L and a 21-day NOEC for reproduction of 51 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Long-term tests toxicity test to aquatic invertebrates are neither reported in the US EPA Document (1989) nor in the OECD SIDS Report (2001). However, the Japanese Ministry of Environment has conducted a GLP-compliant chronic toxicity study with Daphnia magna according to the OECD Guideline 211, which is regarded as relevant for the present dossier (NITE 2009). The EC50 and the NOEC for reproduction were determined to be 66 and 51 mg/L, respectively.
