Reference
Name:
Fused tungsten carbide
Type of composition:
legal entity composition of the substance
State / form:
solid: particulate/powder
Reference substance:
Composition 1
Reference substance:
Composition 1
PBT status:
PBT assessment does not apply
Justification:

ECHA's Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment, Chapter R.11: PBT Assessment (2008d), page 12, states that “The PBT and vPvB criteria of Annex XIII to the Regulation do not apply to inorganic substances". The reaction mass of ditungsten carbide and tungsten carbide is an inorganic substance, and therefore the PBT and vPvB assessment is not required.

Likely routes of exposure:

Likely route of exposure is not required for fused tungsten carbide as it was not considered a PBT or vPvB substance.
