Reference
Name:
Fused tungsten carbide
Type of composition:
legal entity composition of the substance
State / form:
solid: particulate/powder
Reference substance:
Composition 1
Reference substance:
Composition 1
PBT status:
PBT assessment does not apply
Justification:

ECHA's Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment, Chapter R.11: PBT Assessment (2008d), page 12, states that “The PBT and vPvB criteria of Annex XIII to the Regulation do not apply to inorganic substances". Fused tungsten carbide (EC name: reaction mass of ditungsten carbide and tungsten carbide) is an inorganic substance, and therefore the PBT and vPvB assessment is not required.

Likely routes of exposure:

Likely route of exposure is not required for fused tungsten carbide as it was not considered a PBT or vPvB substance.
