Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The viscosity was determined according to OECD 114 guideline using a rotational viscometer.
The viscosity of the test item is:
5.01 at 40°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

5.01 mPa · s (dynamic)
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The substance shows Newtonian behaviour at higher shear rates. The apparent small yield stress may be an artefact as, for this sample, the instrument is near the limit of its operating range at shear stresses less than 3 Pa. Evaluation of the viscosity was performed for the Newtonian region shown by the full line in figure 1.

Dynamic viscosity: 5.01 ± 0.05 mPa.s at 40 °C

Since the test material was solid at 20°C the test was only performed at 40°C. The keyparameter presented is the viscosity at 40°C
