In 2009 the PTB Germany has issued a recommended flash point for 2 -bromopropane wit the result FP = -20°C measured with closed cup apparatus, which was used as key study.
Other flashpoints are cited in the literature range from:
+22°C (paper of nomination to the national toxicology program, US OSHA, November 1999, not referenced here)
+19°C ( safety data sheet from Merck, Germany, dated 17 -07 -2003) to
+ 1°C ( safety data sheet from Science Lab, Huston Tx. dated 11 -06 -2008) to
