Additional information

The material appears to be a mild primary skin irritant (mean erythema score of 1 at 24 hrs and 0.6 48 hrs) when tested as a 10% w/v suspension in mineral spirits. It does not appear to be a fatiguing agent or a sensitizing agent in the albino guinea pig. The effects are reversible and below the level of classification as a skin irritant.

Treatment of the eyes with the neat substance resulted in average ocular irritation scores of 3.3, 2.3, 0.7, 0.0, and 0.0 on days 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7, respectively. The eye irritant was reversible and below the level of classification as an eye irritant.
