Additional information

The acute toxicity of Peppermint oil towards algae was estimated using the QSAR EcoWin v1.00 according to the NCS protocol. 96h-EC50 values were calculated for individual constituents using QSARs for one or more relevant chemical groups to which the respective constituent belongs. The worst case EC50 values (from different QSARs) for each for the constituents were used to calculate the EC50 of Peppermint oil according to the formula given in appendix 7 of the NCS protocol .

The 96h-EC50 of Peppermint oil towards algae was calculated to be 2.61 mg/l.
