Based on the information available in the European risk assessment and the reports summarized in the IUCLID, it can be concluded that Quaternary ammonium compounds, di-C16-18 (even numbered) -alkyldimethyl, chlorides is not ready biodegradable, is persistent in soil and sediment but is

almost completely removed by biodegradation from the wastewater by biodegradation in conventional biological wastewater treatment plants.
