Additional information

B-TEGME hydrolyses in water. B-TEGME is readily biodegradable as demonstrated by the key ready biodegradation study. Hence, further exposure and risk assessment for surface water, sediment and soil compartments is not required according to Annex VII to X of the REACH guidelines.

Due to hydrolysis and biodegradability and due to its Log Pow of << 3, there is low potential of bioaccumulation in biota. Since B-TEGME is not volatile, contamination of air and transport in air are not likely.
