Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The boiling range of Hydrocarbons, C7-C9, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics is 90 to 165 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to their structure and composition, UVCB’s will not have a boiling point but a distillation range, which is measured at atmospheric pressure using ASTM D 86 or ASTM D 1078 methods. A range of 90 to 165 °C covers all possible grades within this substance description if measured with the agreed method. Tests conducted demonstrate that measured values fall within these borderline values. In a study by Total Fluides (2010) the boiling range was determined to be between 100 – 160 °C.
