Description of key information

The vapour pressure was calculated using the MPBPVP model.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

In accordance with REACH Regulation 1907/2006, Annex VII, Column 2, a recognised calculation method is sufficient as the melting temperature of the test substance is >200°C. A predicted vapour pressure of 1.04E-015 mmHg or 1.39E-013 Pa was calculated using the MPBPVP model. Based on this calculation estimate, supported by read-across to the more volatile analogous substance, edetic acid, there is sufficient evidence to conclude that the vapour pressure for trisodium HEDTA is likely to be very low and, as such, is not likely to readily volatilise to the atmosphere.
