The aquatic toxicity of hydrocortison was studied in an acute immobilization test in Daphnia magna. The daphnids were exposed to the test compound at 3 concentrations between 25 and 100 mg/L, measured by TOC, and a control over a period of 48 hours. There ws a copncntration related immobilization rate up to 30% at the highest cocentration. Therefore, the EC50/48 hours was higher than 100 mg/L, the NOEC was 25 mg/L the LOEC 50 mg/L.
