No sediment toxicity study available

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex X, studies on sediment toxicity do not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for adsorption (log Kow = 2.53) and therefore no significant concentrations are expected in the sediment compartment. This is supported by exposure assessment carried out using the ECETOC TRAM, indicating low exposure to the sediment compartment. Predicted regional PEC and the predicted maximal local PEC in sediment are very low and indicated no risk for the sediment compartment, therefore toxicity tests on sediment species are not needed.
