Description of key information

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 Annex VIII 9.2.2.1 column 2 the testing for hydrolysis is not required for substances that are readily biodegradable. Furthermore, regarding the molecular structure no hydrolysis is to be expected.

Additional information

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 Annex VIII 9.2.2.1 column 2 the testing for hydrolysis is not required for substances that are readily biodegradable. In addition as Fatty acids, C16-18 and C18-unsatd., branched and linear does not have a functional group that is susceptible to hydrolysis, it is expected not to hydrolyse under environmental conditions.

Therefore, as none of the dimerised fatty acid sub-category 1 members have functional groups that are susceptible to hydrolysis.
