Description of key information

A trend of increasing density with increasing carbon number is seen for category members.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
0.789

Additional information

Density increases with increasing carbon number across the category, with a very similar trend for both the alpha olefins and olefins.Data is available for category members with carbon numbers of C6 to C28. At C6 density is around 0.67. At C28 boiling point is around 0.8.
