Additional information

Abiotic degradation of ethylene diacetate (CAS 111-55-7) is not a relevant environmental pathway. The substance is not likely to be present in the atmosphere in relevant amounts based on the vapour pressure of 22.68 Pa and the Henry’s Law Constant of < 1 Pa m³/mole. If released into the air, it will be slowly photodegraded (DT50 value: 34.1 h). Abiotic hydrolysis is not relevant, since the substance is readily biodegradable and is expected to be eliminated through biodegradation in natural waters. Additionally, the estimated half-life for hydrolysis is > 24 h at pH 7.
