Description of key information

Oleamide is not harmful to fish, no effect up to the limit of the water solubility of the test substance was observed.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One guideline study according to OECD 203 is available for oleamide and one additional GLP guideline study for the structural related stearamide. In the 96 hour fish test with Oncorynchus mykiss no mortalities and no sublethal effects were observed to the highest attainable concentration. The substance shows no toxicity within the water solubility and is not harmful to fish. Oleamide can be regarded as not harmful to fish.
