Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
-General advice : Move out of dangerous area. Consult a physician. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.
-Inhalation : If breathed in, move person into fresh air. Consult a physician after significant exposure.
-Skin contact : Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash the skin immediately with soap and water.
-Eye contact : Rinse with plenty of water. Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
-Ingestion : Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Obtain medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media : Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Specific hazards during fire fighting : Treat as oil fire.
Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information : Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains.

-Personal precautions : Respiratory protection : In the case of vapour formation use a respirator with an approved filter. Hand protection : Glove material: butyl-rubber. Eye protection : Eye wash bottle with pure water. Tightly fitting safety goggles. Skin and body protection : Protective suit
Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.
-Hygiene measures : Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. When using do not eat or drink. When using do not smoke. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation.
-Environmental precautions : Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.
-Methods for cleaning up : Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust). Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
