Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of MEA-LAS was 2.98 mbar at 20°C (mean of runs 1 & 2) (determined by static method using a U-tube manometer; EU Method A.4 (Vapour Pressure))
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of MEA-LAS was determined by following the EU Method A.4 (Vapour Pressure).

The test was conducted to determine the vapour pressure of a test substance by the Static method - using a U-tube manometer. The static method

involves placing a sample in a bulb maintained at constant temperature and connected to a pressure monitor and a vacuum pump.

The vapour pressure of MEA-LAS was 2.98 mbar at 20°C (mean of runs 1 & 2).

This vapour pressure test is classified as acceptable, and satisfies the guideline requirements of the EU Method A.4 (Vapour Pressure))

Description of key information

The vapour pressure of MEA-LAS was determined following EU Method A.4 (Vapour Pressure).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The vapour pressure of MEA-LAS was 2.98 mbar (298 Pa) at 20°C.

As described in the read across justification documents, the driver of toxicity for human health and environmental endpoints is the LAS moiety of MEA-LAS. Therefore, for risk assessment purposes, the vapour pressure of LAS (3.0E-13 Pa) was used.
