Additional information

Pentapotassium triphosphate is hydrolysed to orthophosphate in aqueous and biological systems. The degradation products of pentapotassium triphosphate are essential nutrients (food element) for plants, and stimulate the growth of water plants (macrophytes) and/or algae (phytoplankton).

The potential for bioaccumulation is therefore considered to be minimal.
