Discussion of trends in the Category of C6-24 linear and essentially-linear aliphatic alcohols:

In accordance with Section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the study does not need to be conducted as there are no other areas of the data set for which it is necessary to demonstrate stability in organic solvents.

 

Alcohols can be expected to be stable in all commonly-used solvents. Furthermore, this is not considered to be a particularly relevant endpoint for these substances, which are believed to be most generally used in aqueous preparations.
