Description of key information

Based on the low measured log Pow value (log Pow= 2.4, Evonik Industries, 2010) for EGDMA a bioaccumulation rate of 21.9 was estimated according to the formula of Veith et al. 1979 (Guidance R.7C). In the OECD SIDS program a low bioaccumulation potential with a BCF of 3 has been estimated with EPIWIN, 2009, program BCFBAF.

Further studies do not need to be conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable (experimental result please see chapter 5.2.1. biodegradation screening test according to EEC Dir. 84/449, published in: Official Journal of the European Communities, No. L251/188, Closed Bottle Test).
