Description of key information

Potassium chloride is ubiquitous in the environment and occurs, e.g., in minerals and soils. The substance is highly water soluble and does not bioaccumulate in terrestrial organisms. Potassium and chloride as the two ion constituents of the substance are both important nutrients to terrestrial organisms. Therefore, testing of effects to terrestrial organisms is not necessary.
