The results of a second test phase divided from those of the first phase in the sense that there was an anomaly due to a difference in the range of the air and water standard curves for the substance in the two experimental phases. In the publication it is recommended to use the values of the second phase which are given above.

The dimensionless Henry's Law constant for 1,2,3-trichloropropane was determined by simultaneous analysis of equilibrium concentrations in air and water over a temperature range from 26.5 to 45 °C resulting in values ranging from 0.01 to 0.02.

The Henry’s Law Constant of TCP was calculated with the EUSES model, which gives a value of 13.9 Pa x m3 / mol at 12 °C and 1013 hPa (Wormuth 2010b). Based on the measured Henry’s Law Constant of 22.8 Pa x m3 / mol (Tancrède and Yanagisawa 1990) it is expected that TCP has a moderate volatility from the aqueous phase. Experimental data show that the half-life for stripping of TCP from water is between 1 and 1.5 hours (Dilling 1977, Albanese et al. 1987). On the other hand, significant amounts of TCP may be washed out from the atmosphere by wet deposition considering the water solubility of 1.75 g/L for TCP (WHO 2003).
