Waste gases from glass melting process are guided to an electrical filter. On the way to the filter very fine Ca(OH)2 powder is given to the gas stream reacting with the different gases and form filter dust which is collected in a big electrical filter system. The filter dust is collected and brought to special deposition.

The sodium hexafluorosilicate is used in the melting / refining process as a raw material to get certain properties of the glass. The material is given to the batch mixture from a hopper where about 1 ton of the material is stored. Is the correct weight in the scale, all materials go into a batch mixer and from there into the hopper above the batch feeding machine. The batches for our furnaces are produced around the clock (24/7). When the workers are in direct contact with the material ( feeding the hopper) they use gloves and filter masks for protection.

The substance is melted in melted alloy, producing fumes (the downstream user may have ventilation and air filters on his site). The solid part of the reacted product is collected and recycled by a specialized company. No release into water.

PROC22, PROC23, PROC 26: the product is spread on melted metal (by worker with a tool or by automatic device). Possible presence of air extraction above the furnace. After the reaction, the product is skimmed off the metal bath, let cool down to ambient temperature and this dross is packaged, in order to be recycled by a specialised company. The worked usually uses gloves but not necessarily masks. Concentration of sodium fluosilicate in the final product : below 15%.
