The bioaccumulation potential of PETIA was estimated based on modelling conducted for the two main constituents, pentaerythritol triacrylate and pentaerythritol tetraacrylate. According to the BCFBAF v3.00 model of EPIWIN, bioconcentration factors (BCF) of 4.2 and 14.6 were determined for the two molecules, respectively (the modeling considered log Kow values of 1.45 and 2.71 and water solubility values of 5,240 - 11,200 mg/L and 520 mg/L for pentaerythritol triacrylate and pentaerythritol tetraacrylate, respectively). This suggests a low bioaccumulation potential in aquatic organisms. Due to their larger size, the other constituents of PETIA, i.e. various adducts of pentaerythritol di-, tri- and tetra- acrylate, are also not expected to bioaccumulate to a significant degree. This was confirmed by modelling results that indicate BCF values ranging from 3.18 to 15.
